Our Owner, Jill Halliburton

“Yoga is the union of body, mind and spirit”

Jill has a vision to teach the people the art and science of yoga.  She believes that yoga is approachable at any age and since starting her practice in 2010 has worked with youth, individuals, families and extensively with seniors. Jill understands the importance of safety, care and specificity with each of her students. She feels that postures need to be broken down to their basic element for people to enter safely and integrate them personally. Jill was taught the ancient teachings of yoga as she acquired her initial 200 hour training and went on to complete an additional 200 hours under the Integrated Yoga Therapy guidelines. She recognizes with gratitude the many teachers along her path that have given insight and provided further understanding. Jill also has a background as a fitness instructor and has trained hundreds in her community in the basic components of fitness.  She is the mother of five grown children and a grandmother to six beautiful little ones.  Jill’s encouragement to her students is to keep clear the path between the head and the heart, to love others at all times and to know that life works itself out.  You are sure to find acceptance and affirmation at New Day Yoga.
